The First-Ever Fortnite Simon Cup

Simon Property Group has begun online qualifiers for their first-ever Simon Cup Fortnite tournament. The competition is meant for amateur players who want to see if they have what it takes to be an esports player.

Competitors can choose from three different online regional qualifiers for a chance to move on to the regional finals. The top players from the regional finals will face off against each other in the grand finals at the HyperX Esports Arena Las Vegas. The winner in the Sin City finals will take home a $50,000 shopping spree.

Players can compete from now until 10/24 for the NY region, 11/07 for the CA region, and 11/10 for the Online Open region.

In order to participate in the NY or CA regions, players will need to use a Golden Ticket, which can be picked up at any participating Simon venue. Players can compete each week to score the most points in a one-hour session. Players can also compete for smaller prizes by completing daily missions.

Online Open players will move on to the grand finals automatically based on ladder positions. However, NY and CA region competitors will need to take part in regional finals in order to win their spot.

The players with the top 25 session scores each week will be invited to the regional finals. The NY regional finals will take place at the Roosevelt Field mall in Garden City, NY. The CA regional finals will take place at the Ontario Mills mall in Ontario, CA.

Both these events will feature the HyperX Esports Truck where players will compete on-stage for a chance to move on to the Grand Finals. In addition, the winner of each regional final will take home a $10,000 shopping spree.
