Super Girl Gamer Pro launches female driven esports series

Yesterday, ASA Entertainment announced competitive esports series Super Girl Gamer Pro returning for its fourth year. Beginning on July 10 with weekly qualifier tournaments, this celebration of women in gaming will be held online. For ten weeks, players can compete in League of Legends, Hearthstone, and CS:GO for cash prizes and sponsor prizing. This all leads to the Super Girl Gamer Pro Championships on October 3 at the Super Girl Pro Festival, a 2-day celebration of women in sports and esports.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s tournament will be held completely online. While this eliminates the networking and empowerment that comes with physical gatherings, more women than ever can now participate. It’s common knowledge in gaming that females face more abuse and harassment than males. This event aims to support and create meaningful opportunities for women to connect and grow.

As the only multi-series esports event run only by females, Super Girl Gamer Pro is important in the industry. Especially because of the recent surge of women in esports sharing their stories of abuse, this event arrives at a crucial time. One of the best parts of this event is that it’s free and open for anyone to register. Held through Challenger Mode, these online tournaments culminate in an in-person Super Girl Gamer Pro Championships. Financial assistance is also available for players who need help traveling to the championship.

“As part of our mission to provide opportunities for women in male-dominated industries, we are excited to expand the Super Girl Gamer Pro to include an online qualifying series,” said Rick Bratman, producer of the Super Girl Series and CEO of ASA Entertainment. “This is an exceptionally important initiative given the lack of opportunity and general toxicity towards women in gaming. The Super Girl Gamer Pro’s empowerment platform is the perfect vehicle to help propel this movement towards equality and inclusion.”

Held in Oceanside, California, the Super Girl Pro Festival provides empowerment for women everywhere. This is where players from the online qualifier tournaments will meet to battle to be the winner. .

Supported by GameStop, the US Air Force, Nissan, Twitch, the US Marines, and others, the Super Girl Gamer Pro Series and their various partners are pushing to develop equality for women.
