Ubisoft announced today an update to the format of the upcoming November Six Major. Following the Six August 2020 Major, the Rainbow Six Siege esports team decided to continue with a regional format and gave mode details on the event. Leading to the Six Invitational 2021, this tournament holds high value for teams.
November Six Major Format
This format creates a separate Rainbow Six Siege tournament for North America, Latin America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. Introduced in August, the regional format accommodates difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic. With teams unable to travel between certain countries and experiencing different time zones across countries, Ubisoft chose to make the competition easier and separate the events.
For the upcoming competition, Ubisoft shared the dates for each regional tournament. Just like the Six August 2020 Major, a $125 thousand prize pool is provided to each of the four regions. On top of what’s provided, an Operator bundle becomes available in-game with 30 percent of that revenue going to the prize pools.
- Latin America: October 30th — November 1st
- Europe: November 6th — 8th
- North America: November 13th — 15th
- Asia-Pacific: November 25th — 29th

North America brings four teams to the event. Three come from the US and the fourth will be decided between the first place in Canada Division and fourth, fifth, and sixth place in US Division. The decision for participating teams comes at the end of Stage 2.
Europe also brings the top four teams at the end of Stage 2 of the European League to the Major.
Latin America decides the November Six Major teams at the end of Stage 2 based on different Divisions. Brazil Division brings the top four teams. Mexico Division will hold a best of five match for its top two teams. Finally, Latin America’s South Division won’t compete but gets a share of the prize pool.
At the end of Stage 2, Asia Pacific region boasts 13 total teams competing. Six teams from North Division, three teams from Oceanic Nationals, and four teams from South Asia Nationals join the Major.
Rainbow Six Siege November Six Major is the last event for teams to earn points. Teams will compete for a chance to join Six Invitational 2020, the premier event for Rainbow Six Siege esports. Because of the ongoing pandemic, the competition moved online. But this update doesn’t change the intensity of the November Major, which wraps up 2020 Rainbow Six Siege esports.
Latin America regionals start off the November Six 2020 Major on October 30.
