Christian Pulisic and Bugha team up for Twitch Rivals

Because of the COVID-19 situation, professional sports players are no longer in the spotlight. With sponsorships being a bulk of their revenue, they need exposure to succeed. This is why fans are seeing more famous sports players go online. Andy Roddick, a famous tennis player, was recently on TV and even baseball players are participating in Fortnite charity tournaments. Following this trend, Christian Pulisic announced his partnership on Twitch Rivals with Kyle “Bugha” Giersdorf.

All online streaming platforms are seeing records in viewership. But because of the COVID-19 pandemic, game developers can’t propose as much new content as before. Developers need to use other means to create excitement for their games like new skins and collaborations to keep the hype up. For Epic Games, bringing in Deadpool and collaborating with the Housparty app can be done without much difficulty so that Fortnite remains successful. Having professional soccer players partner with a renowned world champion will be nothing but good for the game.
